On November 19, 2019, the 21st Russia International Pharmaceutical Equipment and Raw Materials Exhibition Pharmatech&Ingredients was grandly held at the Crocus Exhibition Center in Moscow. Chinese exhibitors took another step forward in their journey into the Russian pharmaceutical market.

Exhibition area of nearly 10000 square meters

The number of first day visitors is 2572, an increase of 4% compared to 2018

The number of visitors in the first two days was 5690, an increase of 4% compared to the same period last year

At the opening ceremony, Victor Dmitriev, Director General of the Russian Association of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (ARPP), stated that integrating the annual market results at the Pharmatech exhibition is a good tradition. This exhibition is not only a showcase of the results, but also the most important showcase for the future prospects of the industry.

Vadim Kulikov, Deputy Director of the Russian Agency for Technological Development, announced the launch of a new plan to encourage Russian companies to acquire technology from foreign markets. He stated, "The main task is to ensure comfortable conditions for technology transfer in Russia

Binaya Srikant Pradhan, Deputy Head of the Delegation of the Indian Embassy in Russia, stated that the pharmaceutical industry is one of their most important industries. The Indian delegation, consisting of 27 members, exports $500 million worth of drugs to Russia every year.

477 exhibitors from 33 countries are showcasing advanced pharmaceutical equipment, raw materials, and technology here, with a total of 100 new exhibitors, adding new energy to the venue. National booths from China (where the number of joint exhibitors has doubled), Switzerland, India, and Germany are also shining here.

The number of joint exhibitors for the Chinese exhibition group has doubled this year, with approximately 60 Chinese companies attending, with an exhibition area of approximately 1000 square meters. Among them, about 40 Chinese companies have joined the Pharmatech exhibition area. The exhibition site is packed with people, and as of the third day of the event, the reserved area has reached 120%. Many Chinese companies have renewed their subscriptions to the next exhibition.

At the round table, the new regulations on drug labeling, which will take effect in Russia on January 1, 2020, were discussed. This is an urgent issue for all companies involved in the Russian drug market, and manufacturers will be required to use encrypted labels on packaging to reduce the possibility of counterfeiting.
